Black Forest is not like the rest of our service area, and a contractor who treats it the same way will get things wrong.
The houses sit on acreage under the pines rather than on a street of similar builds. A lot of them are custom homes and cabins from the seventies through the nineties — well built, generously sized, and never updated. That is most of what we are called out for here: a house with good bones and a kitchen that has not been touched in forty years.
What Is Different Out Here
You are in El Paso County, not the City. Permitting and inspection run through the county, on county timelines. It is not harder, but it is a different process, and quoting a Black Forest job on a city schedule is how a builder ends up telling you a story about delays later.
Well and septic, usually. This is the one that catches people. Adding a bathroom is not only a plumbing question out here — it is a question of what the septic system was sized for. Worth knowing before you draw plans around a second en-suite, not after.
Access is real. Long private drives, soft ground in spring, and trees that decide where a dumpster and a delivery truck can actually go. We work that out on the walk-through, because it affects the schedule and it belongs in the estimate rather than in a surprise.
What We Do
Kitchens, bathrooms, basement finishing, additions and whole-home remodels. Plumbing and electrical are handled in-house from rough-in to trim, which matters more on a rural property than an in-town one — there are fewer trades willing to drive out, and waiting on one is how a six-week job becomes a twelve-week job.

We will come out, look at the house, and give you a written estimate for free. If what you are asking for does not make sense for the property — septic capacity, a wall that turns out to be carrying load, a spend that will not come back — we would rather say so at the kitchen table than halfway through.
